I Can Barely Sit Down…..

And tonight is spin class.  Man alive.

Let me share my pain with you all dear readers.  Yesterday after Crossfit I made the mistake of telling my physio the truth: that my glute and thighs were killing me, that every time I squat (which does seem like a strange thing to say actually now I read it, hmmm – don´t squat? – get out)

Anyway, yes…every time I squat I get a pain down my right glute into my leg.  So what did he do?  that´s right, he tortured me.  He dug his viscous little fingers and his elbows into my giant glute muscle and ignored my screams.  I believe he actually said ´suck it up´no joke.

But it´s ok…I feel much better today.  Oh no wait, I am in agony.  Some lady brushed her bag gently against me this morning and I had to resist the urge to punch her.  It hurts to the touch…..it hurts without the touch and in one hour I need to go to spin class……smallest, hardest, least comfy seats ever.  Seats that make you sure you will never be able to have children and to all my girls out there….seats that make you scared to pee after class……you feel my pain right?

Well, faced with this terrifying prospect I thought over my options:

1. Don´t go…..Not gonna lie, it is a good plan but then I remembered that my favourite Christmas dress is still an inch from doing up, it is five weeks til Christmas and I am going for wine and pizza with my friend tonight.

2. Look into adoption.

3. Dehydrate myself after class so I don´t need to pee til tomorrow…..something tells me this is not a good idea but I just can´t quite put my finger on it….

4. Don´t sit down at all during class –

I´m sorry.  It just had to be done.

So these are my choices – What would you do?  Help a sister out with some suggestions because let´s face it – this isn´t the first time this has happened and I doubt it will be the last.

Do These Jazzy Leggings……..

Help me to kick ass doing my circuits at the gym? Hell yes they do. I have done three days of circuits in a row and today I did spin class.

Not being able to go up or down any escalators in the metro? Almost crying when I have to climb stairs in the metro because there is no escalator? Groaning in agony when I get out of my chair at work? No. Unfortunately they are not that magical – but they are not far off.

I love workout gear

And at the moment I love working out…I am actually distressed that tomorrow is a rest day. Who would have imagined it?

Eat, Drink and Spin

It would seem I am a very busy lady these days although I am not entirely sure what it is exactly that I have been doing that has taken up so much time. Probably because it was a lot of this:

Terrible red faced selfie -I am actually completely in favour of selfies but definitely not of taking them in the mirror however, I got back from a very good run at work a couple of weeks ago and since I was wearing my ‘today I will kill it’ t-shirt I thought why not? Go ahead Natalie, take that annoying and far from attractive mirror selfie. You are welcome readers.

(Just to be clear I killed the run, not a living thing…seems obvious but some people are crazy so I thought I better just make that distinction)

So basically, my lack of running is because two weeks ago I went out running and when I got to 4.5km my calf had a hissy fit. The result of its little strop was that I had to limp back to the office and have not been able to run since. Now, my initial reaction was to huff. To go in a giant cream puff of a huff and throw all my toys out my pram. Oh wait, that is what I did! However, I then got over it after a little family pep talk and have joined the budget gym near my house and today was my first day at spin class. I do not enjoy spinning that is for sure but it is good for keeping your fitness up and it will do while I get back into running slowly…..(huff huff huff). They also have really good free weights so I am going to work on my squats (squats hate me) and try to practice pull ups so I can KILL IT (at Crossfit – again, just to be clear).

Happy Every Day – today that I have only paid 80€ for a really good gym for three months! Bargain.

Yesterday I was happy because I had Sunday lunch with the family 🙂

Right……time for bed!
